Hare was originally carved in wax before being cast into solid silver. He is unique, a one off piece, bearing a sterling silver hallmark on his instep. He is secured to the stone plinth with silver pegs but can be removed for polishing or dusting. The plinth is polished Blue Lias stone, dark grey blue in colour and with small fossils embedded in the surface. The base of the plinth has felt pads to protect surfaces. Overall hieght is 165mm, stone plinth is 97mm x 40mm. Hare stands 68mm tall and weighs 27.1g, without plinth.
